A collection of photos from Capernwray dive centre in Carnforth, Lancashire. The disused quarry is now popular with swimmers (especially training for triathalon and English Channel swims) and scuba divers throughout the year, as well as having changing facilities and a restaurant.
Feel free to use these photos with your students as part of your geography lesson on the benefits of quarries as places for leisure and recreation.

A collection of photos of the village of Grasmere in the Lake District. The village is a popular place for tourists, and is the former home and place where the poet William Wordsworth is buried. It is also famous for it's secret recipe gingerbread. Students may wish to use these photos as part of projects or presentations or to explore the village through pictures.

This is a hand written resource that I created for my class in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia, so they could raise funds for an expedition they were planning. The theme was the 'Romans' and would help them to work in groups to organise the fundraising events and to raise the budget they needed for their school trip. There are 19 fundraising activities for students, some simple, some requiring a bit more input. Please note that there are some references to our local currency (GEL) and a couple of people or places that we had connections with, but you could easily substitute these for your local currency, people, or places.
